Why is the Archive Column button light gray and disabled?

There is one deliberate scenario when the Archive Column button will be disabled and will not work.  This scenario is when only one Column remains below any of the five top level Columns:  Planning; Ready to Do; Work in Progress; Done and Archive. 

The Archive Column button is deliberately turned off, because the last Column can not be archived or removed.
