What is a Queue?

A queue is a column setting that signals cards are not being worked on or waiting for capacity to become available in the next Sub/Column to the immediate right. Queues can be either a column or a sub-column below a column. 

Clearly identifying and recording the waiting time and accumulated demand for an activity is essential to measuring productivity in order to improve the speed that cards flow through the Columns within Work In Progress to reach Done.

The waiting time is recorded for analytics and performance measurement when the Column Type is changed to ‘Queue’.  Changing the background color of a column has no effect on the analytics.
